Elaine has experienced living in four corners of Canada. Born on the East Coast in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia, she grew up on the West Coast on Vancouver Island British Columbia. She has spent the last 25 years in the far north in Dawson City, Yukon Territory and has recently relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta.
Inspiration for her artwork has initially been motivated by long drives to Alaska and exploration of the Dempster Highway throughout the summer months. Her passion for the wilderness includes fishing and camping at a variety of remote areas. She is motivated about sharing her experiences of landscapes and wilderness through her painting.
Elaine has continued her exploration in Southern Alberta. The medium that she has found most suitable for expression has been watercolour however she has also been working with oils and most recently, semi abstract acrylic works. She uses whatever medium she feels best to express her vision and passion.
