I am a painter with a passion for colour, pattern and form with subject matter ranging from still life to figure to landscape and everything in-between.
Although I am primarily a painter, I love to experiment with various art-making methods and materials such as encaustics (wax), digital photo manipulation, printmaking, mixed media, and most recently, 3D plaster work in the form of whimsical art masks.
Since 2015, I have been delighted to work as part of the Mural Mosaic painting team, helping to create dozens of collaborative murals across Canada. Having painted thousands of images over the span of a few short years, I prefer working quickly to capture a heartfelt response to a subject.
In my recent Birds and Nests series, I am exploring concepts of home, rootedness and new beginnings.
In 1993, I received my Fine Art diploma (with Distinction) from Grant MacEwan College. My paintings, including several commissioned portraits, are held in private and public collections across Alberta.
