As a little girl, I floated on the dark waters of the Chenal du Moine and climbed the maple trees near the family’s cabin. These delicious summer days stretch towards each other. Wrapped in water and forest, my skin drank the sun, the water and the wind. I was awakened to the infinite richness of my environment.

At night, I dreamed. I dreamed of water, trees and sky. I was floating again, this time, among the clouds. I travelled the sky in weightlessness; an unconscious expression of the freedom that animated my summer days. My visual and emotional world was taking shape, strongly rooted in water and forest.

Today, I revisit these experiences through my creative process. I provoke encounters with nature and expres visually the powerful emotions that result. My work is a visual expression of the freedom and communion generated by my encounters with the natural world. I make the conscious decision to plunge back into those lazy summer days and share the magnitude of their hold on my being.

In my public art practice, I strive to create a sense of entanglement with others, with nature and with the community through environmental and social awareness. I encourage people to pay attention and to be present for a moment, in a place and with each other. I accomplish this by offering artistic experiences that naturally and effortlessly generates presence and privileged relationship.
