Edmonton
This is one of a series of four paintings inspired by a roadside picnic spot along a mountain highway. I love wild grasses and flowers and knew when I took the images they would become paintings. The sun peaking through the trees was dramatic. (The picnic was good too.) The red underpainting makes the complimentary greens pop.
